That said, I cannot point a finger without condemning myself, for who among us has not tried to soften our own guilt by rationalizing it or blaming someone/something else? Major League Baseball is tainted by PEDs and hypocrisy, but that is for another day.We stand against casuistry and lack of compunction by living our own lives with honesty and integrity before a watching world. Honesty will put the focus on us which takes our sin into account (Mk7:14-23). And awareness of sin leads directly to the sweet sound of forgiveness. There is no better destination than that. Mark McGwire still seems to have set his sight no further than the Hall of Fame. How short-sighted... how sad.
