Welcome to the cbyerage, where we can all express the content of our hearts with little reprecussions. I apologize that I could not add a whole lot (much in the way of social commentary) due to working instead of blogging. But my concern with the wording "And to think that some people still believe that our secular culture is not in its own way spiritual." is that I recently saw with my own eyes Mick jagger performing, along with the Stones in a much early era in a now KBPS boradcast, a music video where Mick takes off his shirt and has a full blown tattoo of of Lucifer himself engraved across his chest. The test of spirtuality is, as I believe, not in only a few words and/or empty deeds that makes us appear more human, as we are all spiritual, but to whom do we owe our Spiritual Allegiance, and just how human are we. Christ is King and in His Kingdom there is no other. Humanity, or being human is the highest calling, again as I believe, we can all seek to obtain. Imago dei, created in God's image, because the more we move away from that purpose to live and act the way that God would act the less human we become.
